Last weekend I took Kinsey to the teddy bear picnic at botanica. I saw an advertisement for it the week before and Josh was working that morning so I figured it would be a fun little mommy daughter date. Logan came along but slept in the stroller the whole time. Teddy bears are not really up his alley :)
So they have these little teddy bear vinettes set up across the childrens garden. There were groups of teddy bears that were dressed up like different movies and stories. We saw Aladin, Snow White, Where the Wild Things Are, ect.....
Kinsey would stop and look at them but had no clue which story was which. Maybe next year.
Overall it was a success and I think we will be back next year.
It seemed to be more of a girl thing and all of the little girls brought their teddy bears from home with them.....super cute. Kinsey chose to bring Mickey Mouse but adorable anyways.
Thanks so much to grandma for braving all of the crazy kids and having a great morning with us!

3 months
I know I say this all the time.....but time is FLYING. No joke. Not sure if it is because I am chasing 2 around now or the fact that our schedule is jam packed with stuff, but I feel like Logan was born yesterday. Surely he cant be 3 months old. This sure does make me a little nervous about the rest of my life if these three months have felt like I blinked and ended up here today. I am not sure if now that I have 2 kids that I realize just how fast time really goes or that I love having a baby, but I want to freeze time. If Logan stayed this age forever I would seriously be one happy momma. He is a pure joy. Here are some current stats:
6 month clothes
size 2 diapers
sleeps from 9pm to 8am waking to eat once for approx 20 mins (LUCKY ME!!)
smiles and coos WAY more than I have ever seen any baby do
is a definite mommas boy (his face lights up when he sees me or hears my voice)
eats every 3 to 4 hours during the day
breastmilk only
when he does occassionally get fussy only wants to cuddle
LOVES to be held
loves the bath
extremely content laying on the floor looking at the ceiling fan
likes bumbo time in moderation
overall SUPER easy baby
I cant imagine life before this little guy. Logan you make me so stinkin happy to be your mom and I look forward to watching you grow........just slow down just a little :)

Watching the ponies
Never in my life have I actually watched the Kentucky Derby. Kinda strange all of the hoopla for only 1 and a half minutes of action.
Well this weekend we went with some friends to a fund raiser which included a Kentucky Derby watch party.
Got all dressed up, wore a fancy hat and sipped on a mint julep. Everyone else thought they were gross but I super duper love mint so I actually liked them.
Great night away from life and spending some time without puke on my clothes. Win Win

Ding Dong
Happy May Day....(well it was Tuesday but whos counting).
This was the first year we have ever celebrated. I made baskets while at work and then Kinsey helped cut flowers and stuff them. She was a great big help!
Then we got out the stroller, loaded Logan up and went to "ding dong knock" the neighbors house. Kinsey loved this way more than I had thought she would. She would run up to the door, ring the door bell and run off. I had to put the baskets on the door because she had no interest in that. Pretty sure the neighbors would think we were a bunch of creeps if we just rang the bell and ran off. We got caught twice, but all in all had a blast. This is definitely a tradition we will be repeating!
Plus there is something about the pretty flowers and giving them our friends that makes me super excited this time of year. Trying to soak up every minute of this time in our lives to not mention this awesome weather we have been having!
So HAPPY MAY DAY to you!

Easter....a little late
He is risen! Jesus, family, friends.....what more could a family ask for on Easter!
Saturday we spent the evening with family and friends. The dads hid eggs for the kids and they painted their little hearts out. Mouthfuls of jelly beans later I had one tired girl! Thanks so much for spending time with us!
This is what Logan did during all of the excitement!!! Hanging out with
Aunt Meg!
Sunday we got all prettied up and went to church. Then due to a sudden change of plans, ended up at On the Borader for lunch! So thankful for mishaps! We had to place to ourselves and totally got to enjoy eachothers company in a back booth! I swear we were there for 2 hours (that must be a record with kids). Awesome day!

Lunch
While Kinsey is not really old enough to understand the importance of Good Friday, I still tried to tell her that it is a very significant day, in 2 year old terms.
We had lunch at a friends house and I put together this little egg lunch I saw on pinterest. It took me a total of 2 minutes to prepare, and while Kinsey was not that excited about it, Colton totally loved opening the eggs and stuffing his face with whatever was inside! Totally precious.
