Baby Update

Last week we had another visit to this high risk ob office.
We had the sono and echo of baby's heart and then met with the Dr.
The calcifications still showed up in the liver and had not changed in number or size. They also showed up in the bowel again, although in the third trimester that is considered a relatively normal finding. So from here on out we will be focusing on the spots in the liver.
Baby's heart and brain still looked clear and absolutely normal.
Baby measured in the 32nd percentile which is perfect for my size. They also want to continue to closely moniter head circumference. I guess if it starts to not grow proportionately with the baby then there would be a concern that the brain was not developing. Baby's head circumference was measuring perfect last week.
After consulting with the Dr and all of the negative test results we got, Negative on downs syndrome, trisomy 13 and trisomy 18. And negative for cytomegalovirus, toxoplasmosis and parvoviurs, we were given a much more positive potential outcome. They said that we have ruled out the major things that these calcifications usually show up in. She did say there could be a chance that it may be something extremely rare but it would be just that, a very rare chance.
So my heart is able to rest a bit easier knowing that our sweet baby is growing on track and nothing new has developed. It is such a blessing to get to see this sweet little baby on the sono every 4 weeks and my heart is overflowing with love already.
We will go back the second week of March for another sono and echo and growth check.
As of right now baby is moving around like crazy and those little kicks and rolls fill my heart with such joy. Never have I appreciated them more.
So right now we will rejoice in the positive. My prayer is for peace for myself and Josh and that we are able to use this story (however it ends up) to glorify our creator.

2nd annual (For Josh and Kinsey) Daddy Daughter Date Night

We are so blessed to live right down the street from a chick fil a. Not only because we LOVE their food but because they put on such awesome events as Daddy Daughter Date Night.
This is adorably done. It looks like a mini prom. They encourage the dads and daughters to dress up. There is a red carpet with paparazzi. They have wonderful decorations. The tables are set up so nice. There is a fancy menu printed off (just the regular menu on super cute paper) and even a violinist plays. There is a waiter that takes their orders and brings them the food. Even a super cute little card that is a conversation starter the dads can use to get to know their daughters better.
They had two nights this year. They advertised on their facebook page when the reservations would be available and after how quickly they filled up last year I knew I had to be on top of it.
I had to work they day the reservations opened so I called my trusted MIL.
Promptly at 8am she had 3 of her computers up and running in order to get Josh and Kinsey a reservation. No joke we barely were able to get a reservation and they filled up in 10mins!!! Pure craziness.
Due to some weather and rescheduling issues I ended up working they day of the date so miss Jessica got Kinsey all dressed up and she was waiting when her date came to pick her up.
They had a wonderful evening and Josh said she just sat and stared at all the other girls in their pretty dresses commenting on how nice they looked:)
They came home and finished the night by sharing a bowl of ice cream. Adorableness.
Cudos to Josh. He always makes individual time with each kid a priority and truly loves spending time with them. I hope when they grow up they know what an incredibly awesome dad they have!!

The baby turns 2

Yesterday was Logans 2nd Birthday! Whoop Whoop!
Due to some poor scheduling and the weather being in the pooper I ended up working on his birthday. But that doesn't mean we didn't PAR TAY!
We had his birthday the weekend before and celebrated at home with mostly family.
He had a construction/big truck theme! (his choice.)
We had pulled pork sands with all the bbq fixins.
Cupcakes made by daddy of course made their appearance as well.

We found some overalls and a sweet plaid shirt and he was set!

He dug right in to his cupcake like a champ. He loved when everyone sang to him. This kid loves the spot light and is shaping up to be quite the class clown!

Uncle tommy made his annual "year in pictures" video set to music that will make any momma cry and it was an instant hit. Im pretty sure Kinsey has watched it a few times since.

We then asked Logan what he wanted for his special Bday dinner that we had to celebrate Wednesday night instead of Thursday due to me working. He picked "french fries." So we trekked out in the day after snow storm to get his said french fries. We had McDonalds to ourselves and he got to run around the restaurant like a crazy man stopping by the table every few laps to grab a fry or chicken nugget.
So fun to spend time celebrating this sweet guy.

Logan is was an honor to celebrate 2 years of having you in our lives. I love your fiestiness. I love the way you ask for "big hugs!" I love the way you are so laid back and let Kinsey mother you to death. I love how every time we drive by a construction site you say "big truck!" I love how much you love your daddy. Your smile is contagious. You are constantly busy, never sitting still for a second. My heart feels like it could burst watching you grow up. So bitter sweet. I am SO very thankful that I am your momma and get a front seat ride on this journey of your life.
You are loved forever and ever little man!!!
