Time to PLAY!

Last week Josh (along with the help of some family and friends) put a playground up for the kids in the backyard. Seems like an easy process right?......this beast took FOREVER to get together. One million tiny pieces and hours later its done!
Here are some pics of the process

The kids have been out every day since it has been finished!

Last day of school

Ok so technically its not school.......but to her it is. Wow Kids Day Inn has been such a blessing. Kinsey has absolutely loved going every single week. Plus her teacher, Miss Wilbur, pretty much rocks too.
She had a great class of 12 students and a few of them were even her good friends! Win Win.
Every so often I would get a report that Kinsey had to sit in time out for following another student and hitting, or getting out of line, or some other offense. But for the most part she was sent home with good reports.

Its so fun to hear her stories of Daniel in the lion den or Noahs ark. Amazing what she retains. Kinda stops me in my tracks and makes me think we need a little more education time at home. Obviously she gets it. Just time for me to crack down and start in with letters and such. Dont get me wrong, sister knows and recognizes many letters, just makes you think if you actually sat down and really worked with her every day......she could prob be even more awesome. Then again, shes only 3 and has a lifetime of school ahead of her. Do we really need to be beating her over the head everyday with schoolwork? Truth is there is probably a little balance in between the two. I just need to find that balance. Ok done rambling......

Daddy surprised Kinsey and picked her up on her last day. We went for ice cream to celebrate!

My heart just ooozes crazy amounts of love for her!

Moms Day

Mothers day was great. I am so lucky to have an awesome husband and kiddies that like to celebrate the day. Flowers, a sweet card and some quality time were at the top of my favorites list this year.

That morning we had the kids dedication at church. Our whole family was there! Such an amazing feeling to know that we have the love and support of them as we navigate through raising our children to love Jesus in this world we live in. Its great that we have friends and family that can hold us and them accountable and be there to support them as they grow and start to venture out more:(
Logan was a hot mess that morning, waking up at 5:45. By the time of the dedication he was sleep deprived and wanted us all to know about it. Daddy did great keeping his composure and saying some super sweet things about our little babies!! Directly after the dedication ceremony Logan had a major blowout and had to change into the almost too small winter clothes I had packed as spares at the bottom of the diaper bag.

After church we had lunch with my parents and then this momma got a nap! *Highlight of the day*
The rest of the day included plenty of outside play and a little family dinner at home.
I cherish these times with our sweet kiddos as I know that all too soon they will be grown and have families of their own.
Thank you Jesus for blessing me with the two most special human beings I know.

Rockin this weather

Man!!! Now that spring has finally decided to arrive, we can get out and enjoy it!
We have been out every afternoon after naps this week and have been loving it. Its a good thing Kinseys bff lives next door because that girl doesnt like to play alone!
We even broke out the sprinkler and swim suits and the girls went crazy!! I love watching them have a blast! Kinsey and Kenliegh had a contest to see who could run up and touch the alligators head! That does equal a blast in the face with water but when there is a competition you have to get brave:) Logan was asleep for most of this but did wake up long enough to come out and get soaked!

One afternoon we brought out Kinseys kitchen set and cooked outside. I brought some pots and pans out and was served pancakes!:) Love her imagination. Logan liked this and they played together for quite awhile. In fact I may have even gotten a tan!:)

I sure hope this weather is here to stay because a girl could get used to this:)

Dates are awesome

Now that Im chasing two littles around, it seems like the individual attention that each gets is cut in half. Now thats because it it. Theres only one of me and two of them.......math skills people:)
Anyway we have been trying to get a little one on one time with the kiddies lately.
This week Kinsey and I had a girls date. Haircut for her, shopping and a special drink. Its truely amazing how the little things really add up. She just loved that she got me all to herself.

Every girl needs a little pampering. This is only her second hair cut and we cut almost 4 inches off.  Whoa baby! And even added in some long layers. Big girl! Once she was all dolled up we headed to target to shop for a friends birthday gift and then stop by the slushy machine.

It really did my heart some good to leave the boys behind for an evening and focus on my special girl. My prayer is that we continue these special dates and that our bond stays this strong throughout her life.
Love you princess!!

Viva Las Vegas

Last weekend I packed my bags (along with 10 other gal pals) and headed out to Vegas. Props to a super organized and plan aheader friend, who headed up this big party! She turned 30 just a short while ago so we went out to celebrate!
I have never been to Vegas so this was a ton of fun! We left Thurs and came back Sun evening. A ton of fun was packed into that short weekend.
Sight seeing, dining, drinking, chatting, tanning were only a few of the things we accomplished

The weather was amazing and it felt great to sit back and relax and soak up some sun. Amazing what it does for the soul just to detach mentally for a few days

Dont get me wrong, we did our fair share of activity. I swear one day we walked for 10 hours straight........ok prob not that much but it totally felt like it. There is just so darn much stuff to see.

All dressed up.......ps heels suck in a town that requires so much walking :)

Everything is so big and grand in Vegas. If you havent been its a must see.
I came back recharged and renewed.
As awesomely wonderful as it is to get away, there is nothing more that I love than coming home to my hubby and sweet babies. Josh jokes that I would probably be ok with never leaving Sedgwick County. No way.......ok maybe:)
