Lovin this weather

This morning a friend and I decided to take the kids to the zoo (I swear we are there twice a week) and then have a picnic at the park.

The stars must have alligned perfectly today because Kinsey was on her best behavior and we had an absolute blast at both stops.

She sat down like a perfect angel on the blanket and ate her lunch. Then got up and played nearby on the playground and I got to spend some much needed cuddle time with Logan.

Perfect morning/afternoon! Must be repeated soon!

Our weekend in pics

Painting in the garage on a beautiful Saturday morning.

This is what brother did on that same beautiful Sat.

And this is what Josh did.

An evening grilling and spending time with family.

And cuddling with Aunt Meg and Uncle Tom

New patio is being started! Yay for outside summertime!

Made smoothie packets for the freezer. They include mixed fruits
protein powder, flax seed and spinach leaves. Pop them in the blender
                                           and add some milk!

                                           Family walk.

Watched the Jayhawks make it to the sweet sixteen. Close call!

Well there it is.....our weekend. I love having Josh home with us and just doing life together. It seems like life is flying by and the weekends are my chance to slow down and enjoy the awesome family God has given me. I hope you had a great weekend too!

One month old

Holy Smokes!!
Time is flying at our house.
I seriously can't believe Logan is already a month old. He is an absolute joy and I am in no hurry for him to grow up.......other than maybe a little more sleep for me :)
He is in size 0-3 month clothes and wears size 1 diapers. He is still eating anywhere from every 1-4 hours. Up until 2 nights ago he has been sleeping in bed with us. He grunts and groans even while deep asleep and I was not able to sleep through it so he got the boot! Yep! Thats right......he is in his crib. Now he wont sleep laying flat so I put the top of his swing in the crib and he does rather well with that. I will cross that bridge another day. For now, as long as he is sleeping I'm ok with it.
He had a bottle about a week ago and took it well. Since then he has done great adjusting from the occasional bottle to nursing. Despite the, what seems to be, endless pumping it is great and gives me a bit of freedom to get out of the house.
He will turn his head when he hears Josh or my voices in the room and coo's like a champ. *Melt my heart*
We are totally in love with him, (Kinsey included) and if the next month goes as fast as this one I had better slow down and really cherish this.

Logan

Logan is now 3 and a half weeks old and it seems like time is flying! He spends the majority of his time sleeping, eating and pooping. Seriously this little guy is ALL boy! He eats non stop and poops all day long! He is eating as much as every hour during the day and will go 2-4 hours at night. The end result is no sleep for this momma! He grunts ALL the time, awake or asleep. He has cooed at me a few times and it totally melts my heart. I LOVE him like crazy. Right now he will sleep in his swing in the living room while Josh stays up and watched tv then comes to bed with me when Josh is ready for bed. He needs to be swaddled up really tight to fall asleep. Not sure how I feel about this. My concern is that he will become dependent on that swaddle to go sleep all the time. He is only 3 weeks old so I guess I will address that issue when hes a bit older. I will add more to this post when my sleep deprived brain can think for more than 10 minutes at a time.

*On another note I have made it back to the gym. Because he is not old enough to go to the kid zone I am forced to go early in the morning before Josh goes to work. I figure I am awake anyways....may as well get some good out of the time. I am taking it easy at first and have gone 2 times this week. It definitely seems to give me more energy. Ready to get my pre prego bod back. That may be a huge task but I am motivated........for now at least.
