Dancing Queen

Kinsey started dance class this month. Its an intro class and is on a month to month basis. Since its her first experience with a class type "sport" we wanted something super laid back. The y had this class and we decided to give it a try.
I didnt really think much of it and when dance day came around I have never seen a more excited little girl.
She listened really well, followed the teachers instructions and was actually pretty good at it!

Every morning she would wake up and ask if today was dance class.
She practiced the moves she learned at home every day.

(Sorry for the poor pics)
Its so fun to watch her interact with all of the little girls, none of which she knew beforehand.
I think that was actually a good thing. She would ask them what their names were. So cute watching her make new friends:)

On the last class the teacher told us she would invite the parents in to video a small dance they would learn throughout the month. She was so surprised when daddy showed up for her "big dance!"
We were all called in and the little girls were lined up. The dance started and Kinsey froze! She just wanted to see daddy! So no big finale for her but oh well......she totally loved it!!
What a wonderful thing to be able to watch this sweet girl grow and learn. Love you bunches Kins!

1 year!

Well here is the monthly pic......the last one *tear*

Wow. Look how you have changed!!!

Here is what you are up to as we celebrate 1 year!
  size 4 diapers
  size 12 month clothes
  go to bed at 8
kind of depends but you may wake at 5 or so and Ill give you a bottle and back to bed til 8. or you may sleep all night at wake up around 7. You are about 50/50 now.
nap very well in the afternoon. You will also take a morning nap if we are home but can skip if we are out
you are practicing with sippy cups but love your bottle
adding cows milk into your formula to get you transitioned after your bday
you eat what we do just cut up small
you hate any vegetable or fruit although I give them to you at each meal and have given you every kind I can think of
you love carbs (bread, tortillas, waffles ect...)
you snack on raisin, goldfish and veggie straws
You can crawl and are really fast
you can pull up on things and cruise rather quickly too
I dont anticipate you will be walking for a few months as you are really unsteady
you say dadda, momma, dog, sissy but dont talk a lot
sign language has been an epic fail (inside I think you are laughing at me trying to teach it to you)
you love sissy and cant wait for her to wake up every day.
you have become a daddys boy and could care less about mom :(
I attribute the above to me being home with you everyday
you tend to be a little needy and would prefer to be held all day (i dont mind:))
you have two teeth on the bottom and one molar!!!\

You pretty much rock my world Logan!!! That smile melts my heart and Im pretty sure it may get you in trouble once you get older;)

Happy Birthday Little Man

Logans birthday fell in the middle of the week so we celebrated a little early!
Josh dad and grandpa have a lifelong hobby of collecting toy trains. What better theme for a little guys first birthday?
We had a small family celebration and included a few friends. Hey our house can only hold so many people!!
Josh made some train tracks out of utility tape and a cute little sign for the front door. (Way to go crafty hubby)

We got some pizza for everyone (super easy on mom) and chowed down.
Logan was a trooper although not at all interested in opening presents.
In comes dad to do the job!

Recall back to Kinseys last 3 birthdays and I cant lie when I say I want a kid that will destroy some birthday cake!
Well Logan did not disappoint.

Only family shot worth posting. Oh well.......what can you say!
Logan made out with tons of new toys and clothes and a full tummy. Couldnt ask for more!!
Although you have only been in our lives one year I cannot imagine a life without you. You make my heart overflow with love little man. My prayer for you is that you are a man that loves God and seeks Him out. I pray that you continue to have a loving heart and cant wait to watch you grow!!
We love you so much precious boy!

Daddy Daughter Date Night

Last night Chick fil A hosted a Daddy Daughter Date Night.
They went all out to say the least.
A portion of the restaurant was sectioned off and was reserved seating. Reservations were in 45 time slots through the night.
If you were coming for the event you came in a separate entrance complete with a red carpet and photographer.
Roses were there to be given to the daughters.
You handed your reservation to the door person and then taken to your reserved table set up with flowers and pretty pink tableware.
You had a personal server and could order anything off of the menu.
After good food and conversation a violinist would play the last 10 minutes of your allotted time slot to signal you the end of your reservation was nearing.
Kinsey got to wear her fanciest dress and I even busted out the curling iron and her favorite lip gloss. She was a stunning date. We met daddy at the restaurant and he was dressed in his best suit.
Props to chick fil a for putting on this awesome event and make a special time for daddys to spoil their daughters.

Saturday Fun

Looking for some fun on the weekends? Last weekend we discovered Home Depots kids craft time. How awesome? Its free and Kinsey had a blast.
Each month they have a new project for the kids to make. This month it was a wooden Valentines holder. Josh took her and right away they fitted her with her very own Home Depot apron that she got to keep. Josh helped her open a little kit and they got to work right away. Hammering and doing all kinds of crafty work. Painting too!
When she was finished she got a certificate of completion and a pin that she can put on her apron.
What an awesome way to spend Saturday morning bonding with daddy! Plus it was free! Win Win!

Slime

Who doesnt love a little slime experiment?
 This girl!
"yucky mommy!"
Oh well, what can you say?
Once we put a few toys in the slime and then let her use some "tools" to scoop it around rather than actually touching it it turned out to be a pretty fun experiment.
Love watching her experience new things. Learn. Try new things.
Basically just love HER!
