Sleep Over

Last weekend Kinsey got to spend the night at grandma and grandpas new house for the first time. Aunt Megan was also home from college and they had a blast!!!
Because Monday was a holiday and Kinsey didnt have school and grandma was off work it was the perfect time for a sleep over.
They live in Andover so Josh and I helped her pack her bags and we took her over there. We had dinner and from the time Kinsey walked in the door she was in total party mode!! *Love her love for life*
She made a fort with Aunt Megan from the couches in the basement and watched movies.
When she woke up she watched cartoons with grandpa and sipped on her "coffee"
Then grandma and aunt megan took her to build a bear. She came home with the most blinged out hello kitty I have ever seen.
Then after lunch with great grandma it was time to come home!
She feel asleep in the middle of her bedroom floor for nap time (thats sure a sign of a good time!)

I love that she gets to spend that special time with family. I love that she is building memories that will last her lifetime. I love the way they love on her.
What a lucky girl!!!

Little man.....not so little. 11 month.

The days are inching closer and closer to the 1 year milestones. Take my heart and tear it into pieces. 1 week ago L turned 11 months. Just getting set down to document it but here it is nonetheless.
Love this guy like nothing else!!'

Note: The monthly pic is getting harder and harder to capture as he becomes more mobile!

What Logan is up to:
  Size 4 diapers
Fits best in 12 month clothes but can squeeze into 9 month
Takes a bottle or sippy cup every 4 hours
  Still all formula
Eats with us at the table 2 times a day
Eats what we are having just little
  Its a total carbo-aholic.
Even though I offer the fruit or vegetables first he doesnt really like them
Naps twice a day if we are home in the morning but can skip am nap if needed
Takes a good afternoon nap, usually 1.5-3 hours
  Goes to bed at 8pm
Still wakes up about 3 or 4 to eat and then goes back to sleep until 8 or 9
Goes to sleep easily on his own
  Still no teeth
Needier than all heck and loves to be held
Loves sissy more than anything and will sit at her bedroom door until she wakes up
Seems to be equally loving of mommy and daddy
  Can say dadda, momma, dog
  Can wave on command:)
Has a smile like none other......love it.
Crawls very quickly but still prefers to scoot on his bottom
Can pull up onto things easily
Getting down is not so easy and most times you will just cry signaling to me you are ready to get down

As 1 year quickly approaches I find myself trying oh so hard to enjoy each day with you little man. As of recently I find myself seeing you more as a toddler than a baby and it saddens me. I love baby you. But my heart is eager to get to know toddler you. You are amazing and I cherish you baby boy!!

My Baby Turns 3!

January 1st our sweet angel Kinsey turned 3! I am a mixture of emotions. These past 3 years have been the best of my life!
3 seems so grown up and so many things have changed this past year. She is a sweet, sassy, nurturing, sleep loving princess.
We celebrated with 2 parties and a date night with mom and dad!
On her actual birthday we had donuts with both sets of grandparents, then went sledding with 2 of her friends (which she hated) and then went to a special dinner with just us.
That week we had 4 of her friends over for a party during the day. The kids played, bounced in the bouncer, ate cupcakes and opened presents.
The next day we had all of our family over to celebrate.
Kinsey told us this year she wanted a ballerina party. She got a ballerina outfit for Christmas and she was eager to wear it! She looked absolutely beautiful! Aunt Meg even taught her some ballet moves.

Here is what she has been up to this year.
Wears 3T clothes, except jeans are 2T.
Wears size 7 shoes.
Goes to bed at 8pm and will sleep until 9am or after unless I have to wake her for school.
Takes a nap most days but can skip if needed.
Loves changing clothes and will go through 5 or more outfits a day.
Completely potty trained.
Goes to school one day a week from 9:15 to 1:15.
Loves yogurt, pineapple, spaghetti and plenty more. Eats a good variety of foods.
Loves to watch Dora, Diego or Super Why.
Likes to be told stories before bed (Ones that Josh or I make up each night)
Loves to nurture her babies. Clothes, feeds and puts them to bed.
Can ride her tricycle.
Tends to be very scared of new things and not very adventurous.
Loves her pink blankie.
Loves to please mommy and daddy.
All of her toys have a specific place in her room and she notices if something is out of place.
Has lots of jewelry and will wear a necklace, bracelet and ring everyday.
Girly girl. No tomboy here!
Sleeps with tons of stuff in her bed. babies, blankets, bottles, jewelry, other random toys.
Loves to help mommy take care of Logan.

Enjoy some pics from her birthday shenanigans.

Kinsey girl I cannot even tell you how much we love you. You have changed our lives forever and watching you grow these past 3 years has been a complete honor. What a special girl you are and always know you are loved so very much.

NYE 2012

For the past 3 New Years and Im sure for many many more we have had a difficult time! I mean I love a NYE party. But the last few have been spent prepping things for Kinseys birthday party the next day. This year her birthday fell in the middle of the week so we decided to have her party the next weekend. Thus meaning this New Years Eve was not spent getting things ready and getting her down early to avoid the overtired terror baby that sometimes will happen with lack of sleep:)

We are so lucky to have some awesome friends and they happen to live across the street. Win Win right?!
Well they braved having a small get together with some other friends of ours and wanted the kids to come. 6 kids 3 and under. Sounds exhausting just writing about it. But hey thats where we are at in life!:)

We had pizza, snacks, the boys watched football, the kids destroyed the house.
The plan was to stay as long as the kids lasted. Well with a movie and a mattress in the living room for everyone to "wind" down on we only made it until 9:30.

Pretty good though. The adults even got about 20 minutes of Taboo in before the kids were too crazy to handle.

Life sure has changed with these little ones but I wouldnt trade it for the world.
Im SO excited to see what 2013 has to bring us!

Its Christmas

We spent the holiday with our family. It was so nice to slow down and just relax. So nice to have Josh home. I ate WAY too much. But hey thats what the new year is for.....a fresh start. Now lets just see if I can keep that one up!:)

Christmas eve we went to Joshs parents house. We ate, played games and had a cocktail or two. It was our intentions to go back over there Christmas morning and open presents.
Joshs grandma and dad got a phone call very early Christmas morning that grandpa took a turn for the worse overnight. He was placed on hospice that day and not given very long. The kids spent the afternoon with my brother and soon to be sister in law and we went up to be with grandpa. He ended up passing two days later but I know he is looking down on us while building the best model airplane heaven has ever seen!!!

Christmas night we spent with my family. Dinner. Drinks. Presents.
The kids were spoiled.

Yep my moms necklace and earrings are totally legit and light up!

Christmas Happenings

Once again I have gotten a little behind but lets start where we left off.
December was an interesting month for us.
Love the spirit in the air as Christmas approaches.
Lots of family sickness here.
Passing of grandpa was a big blow to the family.
Watching the kids enjoy the season is an awesome thing.
Here are a few of the things we did to celebrate this special time of year.

Illuminations at Botanica. A great time was spent with great friends enjoying the lights and company. Kinsey and Colton ran around that place like there was no tomorrow.

A living nativity scene. This was a great idea in theory. There were actors playing all of the roles and there were even live animals. (The donkey was NOT happy about being there.) The show was on the steps of a small church downtown. Kinsey LOVED it. It was about 10 degrees out that night and Logan didnt make it more than 10 minutes. We will be doing this again next year.

Gingerbread house. We scoured the cuppards and found everything we would need at home! Graham crackers were hot glued together. Kinsey got out the frosting and started to go straight to work........eating. She ate WAY more than she actually used. We set it on the counter until Christmas and each day she marveled at her creation.

Santa Bubble Beards.

What a great month we have had. Love watching these two grow and doing life with them.
Kinda feel like the luckiest gal in the world!
