I worked on my birthday and got to work with my old partner. It was just like old days. I sure do love him. We ate an entire box of girl scout cookies and stayed pretty busy with work stuff.
My husband is probably the most creative guy I know. If I had any of his creativity genes my house would be covered with awesome diy projects. But men don't really get that so I will settle for some cake creations and awesome birthday cards.
We came back from an outing and were getting the kids to bed. I thought it was just us four home when in walked my inlaws with the cake my hubs had arranged and ice cream. They sang me happy birthday and melted my heart into a million pieces.
After work on my birthday we celebrated with the leftover cake and ice cream and the kids asked a million questions about how old 31 is! Geesh!
Nothing extravagant. But it is amazing how loved I felt. My cup totally runs over with the sweet family I have. I am such a lucky lady and the 30s have been pretty darn good to me.
